Grandmaster Pereira started his martial arts training in 1975, as a student of Taekwondo in London, England. He earned his 4th degree black belt in this discipline, and achieved the rank of international instructor with the International Taekwondo Federation (ITF). He joined Choi Kwang Do International in 1988 and moved to Atlanta in 1990. Over the next 30 years, Grandmaster Pereira established himself as an esteemed instructor and examiner in the Choi Kwang Do discipline. He earned his 8th degree Black belt, and the title of Grandmaster. Grandmaster Pereira was one of the original founders of Universal Martial Art, which was established in 2019. Grandmaster Pereira currently serves as The Chief instructor at our schools in East Cobb and Cartersville. He serves as an examiner for all black belt testing sessions in Georgia, and travels frequently to provide training and examination services to Universal Martial Art students in Michigan, Arizona, and the United Kingdom.
